When tasked with facilitating a team-building workshop amidst tensions, I sensed underlying issues during our planning meetings. After multiple delays, I received a last-minute request to proceed, realizing the team was in conflict without full disclosure. The morning of the workshop brought dread, yet I embraced the mantra “Do what scares you.”
Through LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, the team began engaging more openly, symbolically setting aside their burdens. When a participant introduced the term “Peace” as a new initiative name, it shifted the focus toward healing. A poignant moment occurred when someone acknowledged the “elephant in the room,” breaking a long-standing impasse.
The workshop didn’t provide grand solutions but fostered connection and shared hope. This experience reinforced my passion for LSP, highlighting its ability to unlock conversations and enable meaningful breakthroughs by addressing what is often unsaid.
